Artist's Comments

for some reason, helium balloons have become a symbol of the departures part of the airport i left Israel by.

people give them as gifts and then let go of them when they leave, and they have just stayed there, floating against the ceilings

WHATEVER I LIKE IT BECAUSE IT MEANS SOMETHING :)

edit: i wish the darn photo wasn't so big. sorry.
try looking at in in small view THEN in full :)

I love it - with the blandness of the airport as if its been lit up by all the balloons!

thank you billy!!

i got a REALLLY cool hopper-like picture at the airport (they have these booths where you can smoke, and not break the law) and i got some pretty cool interactions and interior symettry with that one (veery much like hopper's famous bar picture with the lady in the red dress)

Airports are notoriously straight laced places so anything interesting is an improvement.

I didn't have my camera with me the day a Dora The Explorer balloon got stuck on the roof of the railway station I work out of - it was surreal how it was looking down on the people like a ruler.

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all.
